‘Gilbert Grape’ – Weimaraner with large tumor rescued by Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue

Gilbert Grape – Weimaraner with 12 lbs. tumor rescued

Recently, through the rescue of a very special Weimaraner, Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue made it into the news!

'Gilbert Grape', a pure-bred male Weimaraner, was rescued from a kill shelter bearing a more than 12 lbs. - heavy tumor that was hanging from his chest. It is unknown how long this tumor had been growing, but when Gilbert came to TPWR, the tumor was severely infected and Gilbert could not walk because of the weight of the tumor.

Thanks to the enormous support from our fans, we were able to give Gilbert the medical care that he needed, and he made a full recovery. Today, Gilbert lives in his forever home with his loving adoptive family!
